About Us

The American Transhumanist Society was formed by Eric Valero and Ryan Lewis in 2012.

The ATS was formed as an outreach and educational program for the transhumanist community, focusing on audiences in the United States.

Our goal is to encourage people to learn about the massive changes on the near horizon for human society as a result of rapid technological change. We believe these changes can be very beneficial if they are understood and anticipated, and particularly if steps are taken to prepare ourselves for them. For this reason, we coordinate with prominent members of the transhumanist movement to deliver relevant content to our followers.

While education is our primary concern at this time, we are taking steps to enable our followers to help us perform research into areas of major interest to the transhumanist community. One day, we would like to give all of our followers a voice and a hand in creating the bright future we all want to see.
